As CEO of the Toronto Regional Real Estate Board and PropTx Innovations Inc., John brings together a wealth of experience, the practitioner’s perspective, an intimate understanding of technology and the real estate landscape. John began his career as a real estate agent and Broker/Manager before joining TRREB as CIO, where he led major technology initiatives that modernized the organization. John’s priorities include protecting MLS® data and privacy, advancing a future-facing MLS® ecosystem, and strengthening the livability of the Greater Toronto Region. John initiated TRREB’s landmark Market Year in Review and Outlook Report, providing policymakers and stakeholders with critical insights into housing supply, infrastructure, and long-term regional growth. John is the visionary behind the Future Facing MLS initiative and the creation of PropTx Innovations Inc. He’s been recognized globally for his leadership and has received the CREA Award of Excellence, and multiple Inman Innovation and Swanepoel leadership honours. John continues to contribute through participation in technology think tanks and governance roles internationally.
